Crochet this beautiful hat for yourself or as a gift for a friend.
We love this new pattern from Yarn Inspirations – the ‘Coming up Roses Hat’. It’s free for you to download, and it’s given an ‘easy’ classification.
The hat is first crocheted in Bernat Satin ‘Grey Mist Heather’ (1 ball), then the cross stitch pattern is embroidered onto it by following a chart.
Don’t you agree it’s gorgeous?
Why not crochet several to give as gifts – one size fits all (adult woman).

Hi. I’m making this beautiful hat! I love this Bernat Satin yarn.
I have a question:
I’m up to 72 stitches, but it looks awful small.
Insttructions from 66 stitches say make alternate sc round then increase as before up to 72.
“Next rnd: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in
each of next 9 sc) 6 times. Join with sl st
to first sc. 66 sts.
Cont in same manner, inc 6 sts on every
following alt rnd to 72 sts. Place marker at
end of last rnd.
Next rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around.
Join with sl st to first sc.
Rep last rnd until work from marked rnd
measures 5½” [14 cm]”
There’s only one more sc round after the 66 st round, then one more increasing round to reach 72. Right?
Then continue on with sc rounds until 51/2 “.
It looks awful small to me.
Please let me know if I am doing it correctly.
Thx,
MB~
P.S. I made the gauge swatch with 4mm hook, it was just right.

Hi Miri
I’m afraid, as this is not one of our own patterns, we cannot make any comments on the pattern, but I’m glad this has now worked out for you. 🙂
