Keep your feet snug this winter and make your own felted boots – or gorgeous booties for your little ones. Jane Wrigglesworth will show you how.

Materials You Need To Bring:

  • Corriedale (or merino or other) wool sliver in your choice of colour (will confirm amounts on booking)
  • 1m square piece old net curtaining (or tulle – must be a net)
  • 2 x small pieces bubble wrap
  • 1 small roll-up matchstick bamboo blind (fixtures removed), or one large bamboo mat (needs to be flexible and able to be rolled up)
  • Waterproof rolling bar (a pool noodle is ideal – cut in half, or to the size of your rolling mat)
  • Scissors
  • Thick cardboard for template
  • 1 plastic squeeze bottle (for water – like an old dishwashing liquid bottle)
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Towel/sponge

Fantastical Needle-Felted Finger Puppets
(or wine bottle neck covers)

Finger-puppets

Make the most adorable finger puppets without sewing a stitch. This fun needle-felting workshop is ideal for all crafters, including beginners and youngsters. Make a range of puppets for gifts using a felting needle and wool sliver.

No special skills are required for the needle felting part. To stitch the body and hood, basic (beginner) knitting is required (the body and hood can be finished outside of class). The pattern for the hood and body is a basic knit stitch.

Once you’ve mastered the basics of needle-felting, you can make all sorts of animals and other characters, and even felted jewellery and scarfs.

All materials supplied (except one ball of yarn, your choice of colour, for the body and hood)
